Editorial Standards

Pulse Newswire publishes English-language coverage of corporate disclosures filed on TDnet, the Tokyo Stock Exchange's official disclosure network. This page describes how we produce that coverage and the standards we hold it to.

How our coverage is produced

Our articles are generated by an automated translation and summarisation pipeline, not written by hand. Every article originates from a specific, publicly filed disclosure document. The pipeline extracts the filing, translates it, and produces a summary in English. We state this plainly because readers are entitled to know how what they are reading was made.

We do not generate commentary, speculation, opinion, or analysis. We do not synthesise articles from multiple sources. Each article corresponds to one filing, and every article links to the original PDF so any reader can check our work against the primary document.

Automated verification

Before publication, each article passes a series of automated gates that check the figures against the source filing: numerical consistency, magnitude and unit checks, direction-of-change checks, company and ticker attribution, and placeholder detection. Articles that fail a gate are quarantined rather than published. Our methodology describes these checks in detail, and our data quality policy covers error handling.

Human editorial oversight

Editorial standards, gate design, and the handling of every reported error are the responsibility of our editorial leadership. Where a defect is systemic rather than isolated, we fix the pipeline that produced it, not only the individual article.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and visibly. Where an article cannot be corrected, we retract it. See our corrections policy.

Independence

We accept no payment to publish, amend, suppress, or prioritise coverage of any company. Coverage is determined solely by what is filed on TDnet. See ownership and funding.
