Role

Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Pulse Newswire. Accountable for what we publish: the standards described in our editorial standards, the verification checks set out in our methodology, and the handling of reported errors under our corrections policy.

Background

Fifteen years in business operations, with a focus on data pipelines and process automation. Pulse Newswire grew out of a specific gap: Japan is the world's third-largest equity market, yet most disclosures filed on TDnet are published in Japanese only, and more than two thousand listed companies have no English-language source at all. Closing that gap requires translation at a volume no newsroom could staff, which is why our coverage is produced by an automated pipeline under human editorial standards rather than written by hand.
