Tokai Carbon REVISES FY26 FORECAST AFTER BETTER THAN EXPECTED MID-YEAR RESULTS
TOKYO, Aug 05 (Pulse News Wire) – Tokai Carbon CO.,LTD. (5301.T) revised its fiscal year 2026 forecast after reporting better-than-expected mid-year results.
For the six months ended June 30, 2026, revenue exceeded initial forecasts by 2%, operating profit by 46.6%, ordinary profit by 56.3%, and net income attributable to parent shareholders by 44.7%. The improved performance was driven by increased sales in carbon black and fine carbon segments, along with cost reductions across various divisions. Additionally, the company anticipates continued strong demand in the memory semiconductor market for solid SiC focus rings within its fine carbon business.
For the full fiscal year ending December 31, 2026, the company now expects revenue to rise by 4.3%, operating profit by 25%, ordinary profit by 31.9%, and net income attributable to parent shareholders by 83.3%. This upward revision reflects anticipated recovery in automotive and tire industries, as well as special gains from share disposals aligned with its dividend policy changes announced on May 13, 2026. These projections are based on current available information and reasonable assumptions, but actual results could differ significantly due to various factors.
