Tokai Carbon RESUMES PART OF PRODUCTION AFTER KYUSHU EARTHQUAKE

TOKYO, Jul 30 (Pulse News Wire) – Tokai Carbon CO.,LTD. (5301.T) resumed operations at part of its production facilities at the Tonoura Plant in Kumamoto Prefecture following damage caused by the July 28 Kyushu earthquake.

The plant produces isotropic graphite materials used in semiconductors, solar cells, and various industries. Safety checks confirmed no major injuries among employees, and while some disruptions to logistics exist, alternative routes are being utilized to minimize customer impact. Major equipment damage was avoided, allowing for partial resumption of production activities.

The company remains vigilant against aftershocks and secondary disasters, prioritizing safety during ongoing recovery efforts.
