Environment Friendly Secures First Major Deal for Tomakomai AI Data Center
TOKYO, Jul 17 (Pulse News Wire) – Environment Friendly Holdings Corp. (3777.T) announced that its subsidiary, AI Tech Tomakomaikai Co., signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with European AI cloud provider Verda Cloud Oy.
The agreement grants Verda Cloud Oy exclusive negotiation rights for a data center lease contract covering the initial phase of the Tomakomai AI Data Center project, which has a supply capacity of 10 MW. The final contract is expected to be concluded within one to one-and-a-half months from the effective date of the MOU. Under the MOU, Verda Cloud Oy will make a reservation deposit of $5 million. This amount will partially offset six months' worth of service fees upon the conclusion of the final contract.
Should the final contract not be reached, the deposit will be returned according to the terms outlined in the MOU. The target commencement of operations for the first phase is set after the facility's launch, with delivery scheduled within four months post-contract signing. This deal marks a significant milestone for Environment Friendly Holdings' AI infrastructure strategy, representing the first concrete step towards demand creation for their AI data centers. The company views this as a crucial move toward commercializing its AI data center business, aiming to expand globally through similar agreements with international clients.
