Environment Friendly Begins Full Operation of Kururi Battery Storage Facility

TOKYO, Jul 08 (Pulse News Wire) – Environment Friendly Holdings Corp. (3777.T) announced the commencement of full operations for its Kururi battery storage facility effective July 1, 2026.

The facility, which has a capacity of 8 MW/h and an output of 2 MW, began trial operations in May 2026 and completed testing in June 2026. It now operates in both wholesale and demand adjustment markets. In March 2026, the company disclosed plans to finance and integrate the system through a special purpose company (SPC) called EF-BESS1, a joint venture involving Nomura House Holdings (headquartered in Nagano, Ueda Shi Furusato).

In addition, in November 2025, the company mentioned potential investment collaboration with NH-Amundi Asset Management Co., Ltd. However, concrete investment decisions remain pending based on ongoing discussions outlined in a memorandum signed with EF Investment.
