Colopl Reports Q2 Revenue Increase Despite Investment Exit Impact
TOKYO, May 07 (Pulse News Wire) – Colopl,inc. (3668.T) reported a revenue increase of ¥5.300 billion for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, marking a Year-over-Year (YoY) growth of -39.1%.
Operating profit stood at ¥600 million, up -71.1% YoY, while ordinary profit reached ¥900 million, showing a YoY rise of -51.7%. However, the investment division saw a decline due to the impact of a large exit transaction last year. In entertainment, the company benefited from reduced advertising expenses, achieving a YoY sales increase of -24.1% and a sequential gain of 9.8%.
Notable titles such as “Quiz RPG Magic & Black Cat’s Wiz,” “White Cat Project,” and “Alice Gear Aigis” contributed significantly to the performance. Looking ahead, Colopl plans to release “Steins;Gate Re:Boot” on August 20 and develop a new application called “COLOPL Contents Protector” aimed at promoting healthy usage of AI technology in creative endeavors. The company also outlined its strategic goals to achieve global top-tier status within the next few years, focusing on overseas expansion, leveraging strong intellectual properties, and exploring innovative user experiences through advanced technologies.
