Yamaha Motor Posts Mid-Year Record Revenue and Operating Profit, Raises Full-Year Forecast

– Yamaha Motor CO.,LTD. (7272.T) reported record mid-year revenue and operating profit, driven by strong sales across various segments.

For the six months ending December 2026, revenue reached ¥1.50 trillion (up 17.2% from the previous year), while operating profit was ¥158.5 billion (an increase of 88.6%). Net income attributable to shareholders also rose to ¥113.9 billion (a rise of 114.7%). The motorcycle division led the growth, with increased sales in emerging markets offsetting declines in advanced countries. Marine operations saw robust demand in Asia and Latin America, contributing to overall revenue growth despite slight decreases in North America and Europe.

Robotics posted significant gains, particularly in China, and financial services benefited from improved interest margins. Based on these results and positive outlook for the second half, the company revised its full-year forecast upward. Despite anticipated cost increases due to Middle East tensions impacting raw materials and restructuring costs in the Outdoor Land Vehicle (OLV) sector, Yamaha expects higher revenues and profits throughout the fiscal year. The revised forecasts now project revenue of ¥2.90 trillion, operating profit of ¥260.0 billion, and net income per share of ¥175.2 million, marking an improvement over initial estimates.

No changes were made to the previously announced annual dividend of ¥50 per share, scheduled for payment on February 13, 2026.
