Wolves HAND hires renowned physicist Dr. Yasuaki Ichikawa to strengthen veterinary medical research

Yasuaki Ichikawa, a distinguished expert in radiation physics and mathematical physics, as co-director of its Veterinary Advanced Medical Research Institute. Dr. Ichikawa brings extensive experience in developing innovative medical technologies, particularly in Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). His expertise will enhance the institute's research capabilities in next-generation radiotherapy, medical device development, and simulation technology. Dr.
Ichikawa’s contributions include organizing international conferences on BNCT and leading large-scale national projects funded by organizations such as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, AMED, and JST. He played a pivotal role in supporting the publication of IAEA’s technical book on accelerator-based BNCT in 2023. At the Okazaki University Center for Neutron Therapy, he spearheaded international collaborations and major research initiatives. Going forward, Wolves Hand plans to expand its network of academic and research institutions to further develop the infrastructure for future veterinary medicine advancements.
