Wolves HAND Starts New Business Line With Chitin Nanofiber Products

– Wolves Hand CO.,LTD. (194A.T) announced on July 14 that it has decided to launch a new business line focused on chitin nanofiber products.

The company plans to begin accepting orders for marine nanofibers, a raw material derived from chitin, starting July 21, and for its oral care gel product Kaiteiru, aimed at veterinary applications, beginning July 27. The new venture follows the acquisition of chitin nanofiber technology on April 28, which led to the establishment of the WOLVES HAND Veterinary Advanced Medical Institute in Tottori City. The institute's factory has completed preparations for restart operations, enabling the production and sale of chitin nanofiber-based products. Chitin nanofibers are highly biocompatible materials derived from crustaceans such as crabs and shrimp.

They offer superior wound healing properties and have potential applications in human cosmetics and medical treatments. Wolves Hand’s proprietary manufacturing process enhances the fibers' surface characteristics, providing high adhesion and moisture retention benefits. Looking ahead, the company expects minimal impact on its near-term performance but sees significant long-term contributions from this high-value-added product line targeted primarily at animal hospitals and healthcare facilities. Wolves Hand will continue to expand its offerings in both veterinary and human healthcare sectors, aiming to solidify chitin nanofiber technology as a key component of its biomaterials business.
