West Japan Railway Company to Amend Articles of Incorporation; Shareholders Meeting Set for June 18
TOKYO, May 15 (Pulse News Wire) – West Japan Railway Company (9021.T) announced today that its board of directors has approved amendments to the company's articles of incorporation, which will be presented at the upcoming annual shareholders meeting scheduled for June 18, 2026. The purpose of the amendment is to clarify the company’s business scope and prepare for future business expansion.
Specifically, the proposed changes aim to add several new business activities to the existing Article 2 of the articles of incorporation. These additions include the issuance, sale, and management of prepaid payment means, fund transfers, bank agency services, lending operations, and intermediary services related to financial products.
