East Japan Railway Company, classified as another related company, is also the largest shareholder of TOTETSU KOGYO. TOTETSU KOGYO operates as a partner within the same group, engaging in regular business transactions such as construction work. Despite being a major client, TOTETSU KOGYO maintains operational independence without facing restrictions from East Japan Railway Company. The company's sales derived from East Japan Railway Company account for a high percentage but remain within normal commercial relations.

Regarding cross-directorships, TOTETSU KOGYO appointed Masayuki Tamakura, a senior executive director and former deputy head of the railway operations department at East Japan Railway Company, due to his extensive experience and expertise in rail and construction industries.
