TOKYO, Jul 24 (Pulse News Wire) – The Ehime Bank,ltd. (8541.T) and Iyo Financial Holdings Co., Ltd.
(8540.T) agreed on merger plans aimed at strengthening their regional presence and enhancing service offerings. Both companies, headquartered in Ehime Prefecture, aim to create a robust financial group through the integration, which includes leveraging combined expertise and resources to address evolving customer needs and societal changes. Under the agreement, Iyo Financial Holdings would become the parent company while Ehime Bank becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary via a share exchange scheduled for April 1, 2027. Post-merger, the newly formed entity will operate under a "single platform multi-brand" model, allowing each bank to retain its unique identity while benefiting from shared services and technology platforms.
