Tamagawa Holdings CHANGES PROJECT SITE TO IGA CITY

TOKYO, Aug 07 (Pulse News Wire) – Tamagawa Holdings CO.,LTD. (6838.T) announced on Monday that it had changed the location of a planned energy storage facility project from Kagoshima Prefecture's Kirishima City to Mie Prefecture's Iga City.

The move was based on a proposal from Green Energy Plus, which now offers higher certainty of development timelines and earlier operational commencement. Under the revised agreement, Tamagawa Energy, a subsidiary of Tamagawa Holdings, will purchase land and rights to develop a system-use battery storage facility in Iga City. The initial investment remains within the originally planned budget range.

The new site is expected to connect to the power grid in September 2027, allowing for quicker realization of the project compared to the previous location. Previously disclosed projects include the acquisition of a similar facility in Fukuoka Prefecture’s Miyama City, scheduled for completion by August 31, 2026. With this latest addition, Tamagawa Holdings now plans to operate two such facilities.
