Tama Home Reports Special Gain and Loss for Fiscal Year Ending May 31, 2026
TOKYO, Jul 14 (Pulse News Wire) – Tama Home CO.,LTD. (1419.F) reported special gains and losses for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2026.
The company recorded a special gain of ¥171 million due to compensation received for the relocation of its Moriyama store, which was necessitated by public works projects conducted by local authorities. Additionally, Tama Home recognized a special loss of ¥1.541 billion related to impairment charges on certain assets.
Specifically, the company reduced the book value of some operating assets, rental properties, and idle assets whose market values had significantly declined below their carrying costs, according to accounting standards for asset impairments. Furthermore, the company also included a compression extraordinary account amount of ¥112 million associated with anticipated expenses for rebuilding the Moriyama store during the relocation process.
These adjustments have been reflected in the company's interim earnings announcement released today.
