Tachikawa Reports Strong First Quarter Results Amid Rising Material Costs
TOKYO, May 08 (Pulse News Wire) – Tachikawa Corporation (7989.T) reported strong first quarter results for the fiscal year ending December 2026, achieving revenue of ¥11.35 billion, operating profit of ¥1.566 billion, and net income of ¥1.064 billion. Despite rising raw material costs, the company's diverse segments contributed to overall growth, particularly the parking equipment division which saw significant increases in sales and profits.
In the interior and exterior products division, the company benefited from price adjustments made last year and increased sales of its flagship product lines, leading to higher revenues. However, manufacturing cost pressures due to rising raw materials affected gross margin rates. The parking equipment division experienced robust performance driven by the addition of new Puzzle Tower projects and ongoing maintenance work on existing installations.
Looking ahead, while geopolitical developments could impact raw material procurement, the company remains confident in its ability to secure necessary supplies. As such, there are currently no plans to revise its full-year forecasts, which project continued growth across key metrics. The company also reaffirmed its commitment to progressive dividend policies, targeting annual payouts per share exceeding the defined Dividend Outflow Efficiency (DOE) threshold.
