Subaru Completes Share Repurchase Amid Legal Framework

– Subaru Corporation (7270.T) completed its share repurchase program based on legal provisions set forth in its articles of incorporation. The company's board of directors had approved the repurchase plan during their meeting held on May 15, 2026.

As of July 31, 2026, Subaru did not acquire any shares within the designated period from July 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026, through open-market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. However, cumulatively since the inception of the repurchase program up until July 31, 2026, Subaru acquired a total of 10,852,100 shares with a total acquisition cost of ¥27.04 billion.

The initial resolution allowed for the repurchase of up to 80 million shares ordinary shares, representing a maximum of 11.2% of the outstanding shares excluding treasury stock. The total expenditure was capped at ¥150.0 billion.

The repurchase period was scheduled to run from May 18, 2026, to March 16, 2027.
