Soken Chemical & Engineering Sets Plan to Counter Share Accumulation Threat
TOKYO, Jul 24 (Pulse News Wire) – Soken Chemical & Engineering CO.,LTD. (4972.T) introduced a plan aimed at protecting its enterprise value and shareholder interests against potential threats posed by significant share accumulation., the company's board resolved to establish basic principles governing who should control decisions on financial and operational policies.
This includes ensuring such individuals fully understand the sources of the company’s value and commit to sustaining and enhancing it continuously. Since May 2023, Soken has engaged regularly with Axium Capital Pte. Ltd., which now holds a substantial stake in the company. As of November 10, 2025, Axium reported owning a stake equivalent to 6.72%. By July 21, 2026, this had increased to 22.60%.
