Geolive Group Reports Changes in Controlling Shareholder Structure
TOKYO, Jul 24 (Pulse News Wire) – GEOLIVE Group Corporation (3157.T) disclosed changes in its controlling shareholder structure involving Sumitomo Forestry Co., Ltd. As of March 31, 2026, Sumitomo Forestry held 30.37% of voting rights, comprising 3.12% directly owned shares and 27.25% indirectly through related companies.
A recent public filing indicated that all previously indirect holdings had transitioned to direct ownership by Sumitomo Forestry, increasing their direct stake to 30.37%. GEOLIVE operates independently based on its own management decisions while maintaining strong capital and business ties with Sumitomo Forestry.
The two companies respect each other's autonomy and collaborate to enhance synergies. Notably, GEOLIVE appointed Masaharu Kaneda, who brings extensive industry experience, as a director to strengthen business partnerships.
Additionally, Shunju Kaku, with expertise in corporate governance, was named external auditor to bolster oversight mechanisms.
