Sansha Electric Manufacturing to Cut Executive Compensation Over Misconduct
TOKYO, Jun 24 (Pulse News Wire) – Sansha Electric Manufacturing CO.,LTD. (6882.T) announced that two executive directors will voluntarily return part of their compensation due to misconduct by an external director during the 92nd regular shareholders' meeting held on June 24.
The external director was found guilty of violating confidentiality agreements and spreading defamatory statements against other board members, leading to disruption of business operations despite being asked to rectify his behavior. As a result, the company's board approved the dismissal of the external director.
In light of this incident, which caused significant concern among stakeholders, the chairman and president will reduce their monthly basic salaries by 30% and 20%, respectively, from July to September 2026. The board emphasized the importance of recognizing the roles and responsibilities of each director and reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the effectiveness of the board moving forward.
