Plat'Home Revises FY2026 Forecast Lowering Operating Profit, Boosting Net Income

– Plat'home CO.,LTD. (6836.T) revised its fiscal year 2026 forecast, reporting lower operating profit but higher net income compared to previous estimates.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, the company's revenue was estimated at 1,298 million yen, down from a prior estimate of 1,300 million yen. Operating profit came in at 12 million yen, below the projected 19 million yen. Similarly, ordinary profit decreased to 26 million yen from 36 million yen previously anticipated. However, the net profit attributable to parent shareholders increased to 4.77 million yen per share, up from 2.53 million yen per share. The revision reflects strong performance across network businesses, particularly IoT gateways, network appliances, and microservers, which expanded largely in line with plans.

New initiatives in Web3 also saw significant growth due to active sales efforts and development activities. Despite these positive trends, costs associated with personnel expansion and advertising, along with continued investment in Web3 research and development, led to lower-than-projected profits. Additionally, the company had initially planned capital investments for system upgrades aimed at future business growth. However, recognizing rapid advancements in AI technology, the firm decided to reassess its upgrade strategy, opting instead for cost reductions. As a result, the need for impairment charges was eliminated, leading to an increase in net income.

This adjustment underscores PLAT'HOME’s strategic approach to balancing operational efficiency with technological innovation, ensuring long-term sustainability while optimizing immediate financial outcomes.
