The collaboration focuses on developing new culture devices essential for cell therapy in regenerative medicine and manufacturing exosomes as pharmaceutical products. Under the agreement, which runs from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, RMDC and Tokyo Medical University will leverage Professor Otani’s expertise in stem cells and exosomes to optimize RMDC’s cell cultivation equipment. The project builds upon previous successful cooperation in cultivating media and peptides, expanding efforts into hardware development.
Professor Otani, recognized globally for his work in molecular oncology and regenerative medicine, particularly in microRNA and exosome studies, brings world-class knowledge to the partnership. His contributions aim to enhance PATH Corporation's core technology capabilities and strengthen its regenerative medicine business foundation. Looking ahead, while the company expects the agreement to significantly contribute to long-term enterprise value and expansion, it anticipates minimal impact on its fiscal year 2027 performance.
