PATH Enters Material Transfer Agreement with Korean Firm MediPost

TOKYO, Jun 24 (Pulse News Wire) – PATH Corporation (3840.T) announced that its subsidiary RMDC entered into a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) with Korean firm MediPost Co., Ltd. The agreement, approved during RMDC's board meeting on March 09, 2026, marks the beginning of collaborative research aimed at optimizing next-generation automated cultivation robots and implementing physical AI technology.

Under the MTA, RMDC will conduct compatibility evaluation tests within its Nishinomiya CPF facility using cells and novel culture media provided by MediPost. The materials transferred include human umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUCB-MSCs) and new culture media. The research period spans from February 02, 2026 to September 30, 2027. MediPost will pay approximately $[¥1 million] upon contract execution based on the exchange rate at the time of payment. This collaboration aims to optimize cell seeding timing and perform preliminary feasibility tests for phase two of the project.

Any findings from the validation test will contribute to refining automation processes for MediPost’s future cultivation facilities. Additionally, data collected during the testing phase will serve as foundational information for enhancing next-generation automated cultivation robots and developing physical AI systems capable of replicating expert judgment. Future phases, including more extensive verification studies and associated costs, will be determined based on the outcomes of phase two experiments. While the partnership is expected to bolster RMDC's long-term competitive edge and product value, PATH Corporation anticipates minimal impact on its consolidated performance for the current fiscal period.
