NCD Posts Mixed Results in First Quarter

– NCD CO.,LTD. (4783.T) reported mixed results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026.

Revenue declined by 0.1%, reaching ¥7.301 billion compared to the same period last year. Operating profit fell significantly to ¥414 million, down from ¥7.291 billion. However, ordinary profit increased slightly to ¥424 million from ¥378 million. Net profit attributable to parent shareholders was ¥251 million, up from ¥230 million. In the Support & Service division, revenue decreased due to customer shifts overseas and the impact of Vendor Shuuyaku, despite strong performance in subsidiary contracts. The Parking System division saw stable income growth but faced a decline in equipment sales, leading to overall reduced revenues.

Despite these challenges, operating margins improved thanks to cost reductions and pricing negotiations. As of June 30, 2026, total assets stood at ¥16.70 billion, down from ¥16.89 billion in the previous fiscal year. Key drivers included decreases in accounts receivable and contract assets, offset by increases in cash and deposits. Liabilities rose to ¥8.568 billion, primarily due to accrued expenses and contract liabilities. Shareholders’ equity dropped to ¥8.128 billion, resulting in a decrease in the capital adequacy ratio to 48.2%. For the upcoming fiscal year, NCD forecasts revenue of ¥32.00 billion, expecting a slight increase in operating profit and ordinary profit.

The company plans to continue focusing on operational efficiencies and strategic investments to improve profitability.
