TOKYO, Jul 29 (Pulse News Wire) – Mizuho Leasing Company,limited (8425.T) reported damage to a property owned by its subsidiary, ML Estate Co., Ltd., due to an explosion triggered by the July 28, 2026 earthquake in Kumamoto. The incident resulted in casualties and partial structural damage to the Aeon Mall Kumamoto facility located at Kumamoto, Kamimashiki Gun Kashima Machi Ooaza Kamijima Ji Nagaike.
As of July 29, 2026, the consolidated balance sheet value of the affected property was ¥19.08 billion, comprising ¥10.38 billion in lease investment assets and ¥8.703 billion in rental assets. Mizuho Leasing stated that it would continue to gather information and take necessary actions promptly.
