Mizuho Leasing Company Reports Major Shareholder Changes Post Capital Deal
TOKYO, Jun 25 (Pulse News Wire) – Mizuho Leasing Company,limited (8425.T) reported significant changes in its shareholder structure following a capital deal completed on May 14, 2026. As of March 31, 2026, Mizuho Financial Group held 23.62% of the voting rights, making it the largest shareholder.
Additionally, Marubeni Corporation owned 20.03% of the voting rights. The company highlighted that despite the reduction in Mizuho Financial Group's voting rights to 14.91% post-share transfer, it remains within the scope of equity method accounting due to ongoing strategic partnerships. Meanwhile, the issuance of non-voting preference shares through a private placement will maintain Mizuho Financial Group’s overall holding ratio at previous levels.
