Link-U Group to Re-Classify Compass Holdings Under Equity Method Effective July 31
TOKYO, Jul 22 (Pulse News Wire) – Link-U Group Inc. (4446.T) announced today that its subsidiary, Compass Co., Ltd., will transition from a consolidated subsidiary to an equity method affiliate effective July 31, 2026.
The reclassification follows the departure of a director appointed by Link-U Group, resulting in the loss of majority control over the board. Compass Co., Ltd., headquartered at Tokyo, Shinjuku Ku Tsu Hisashi, Machi4-6 Third City Building, engages in manga production and distribution services. As of July 31, 2026, Link-U Group holds 7,000 shares, representing 48.1% of the capital. Major shareholders include Celos Co., Ltd.
With a stake of 48.1%, and individual shareholder Ishihara Shiro owns 3.8%. The shift does not affect ongoing operational collaboration between Link-U Group and Compass. However, the impact on the fiscal years ending June 30, 2026, and June 30, 2027, remains under review. Any significant developments will be disclosed promptly.
