Komatsu WALL Industry Reports Strong First Quarter Revenue Growth Amid Price Increases
TOKYO, Jul 27 (Pulse News Wire) – Komatsu Wall Industry CO.,LTD. (7949.T) reported robust revenue growth for the first quarter ending March 2027, driven by strong demand across office, cultural facilities, and hotel sectors.
Revenue increased by 3.8% compared to the same period last year, while operating profit rose by 36.2%. Despite rising raw material costs, product mix and price adjustments helped absorb cost pressures, leading to a continued increase in gross margin rates. Komatsu Wall's backlog remained healthy, with orders increasing in offices and cultural facilities, and recovering in hotels. Key products such as movable partitions showed consistent strength, particularly in the office sector, while mobile partitions saw growth in both office and cultural facility segments. However, toilet booths experienced a decline due to reduced demand from new construction projects and factories.
For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the company expects sales to grow by 4.0% and anticipates higher operating profits despite anticipated increases in labor and materials costs. Komatsu Wall plans to maintain its dividend policy, aiming for a dividend payout ratio based on net asset value (DOE) of 6%, resulting in a forecasted dividend increase of ¥5 for the upcoming fiscal year. The company also highlighted ongoing investments in production capacity, including the development of its Kakawa Factory No. 2, which is scheduled to begin operations in May 2027. This expansion is part of a broader investment plan aimed at enhancing production capabilities and supporting future growth.
