THE OITA BANK Oita Bank Reports First Quarter Unrealized Losses for March 2027 Fiscal Year
TOKYO, Jul 27 (Pulse News Wire) – THE Oita Bank,ltd. (8392.F) reported unrealized losses totaling ¥5.048 billion for its fixed-income securities held-to-maturity as of June 30, 2026.
The bank stated that despite the significant unrealized losses, there would be no impact on its operating profit for the fiscal year ending March 2027, which was previously estimated at ¥14.71 billion. Similarly, the net income attributable to shareholders for the same period, initially forecasted at ¥10.60 billion, remains unaffected. In addition, the total book value of the targeted securities stood at ¥42.21 billion, while their fair value was assessed at ¥37.16 billion.
The unrealized ratio relative to the previous fiscal year's ordinary profit stands at 34.3%, and compared to the parent company’s net profit, it represents 47.6%. The bank noted that the unrealized loss calculations encompass all securities whose fair values could be reasonably determined. Separately, the bank disclosed that the total mark-to-market gains for the same period amounted to -¥5.048 billion.
