Ishizuka Glass to Update Glass Bottle Production Equipment
TOKYO, May 08 (Pulse News Wire) – Ishizuka Glass CO.,LTD. (5204.T) announced today that its board of directors has approved plans to update its glass bottle production equipment.
The decision was made due to the approaching end of the lifespan of their melting furnace. The investment aims to improve fuel efficiency and enhance productivity through increased automation and process optimization. The project, located at Aichi, Iwakura Shi Kawai Machi1,880 in Code Bangou, includes the replacement of the glass bottle melting furnace and related production facilities.
The total estimated cost of the upgrade is approximately ¥1.500 billion. Funding will come from internal resources, bank loans, and leasing arrangements. Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2027, with operations expected to commence in August 2027.
According to the company, this update will not impact the fiscal year ending March 2027 earnings forecast.
