Honda Motor Reports FY2026 Results Near Upper Range of Forecast
TOKYO, May 14 (Pulse News Wire) – Honda Motor CO.,LTD. (7267.T) reported its fiscal year 2026 consolidated results today, which came close to the upper range of its previously announced forecast.
The company's consolidated revenue reached --¥570.0 billion, operating profit was --¥650.0 billion, pre-tax income stood at --¥630.0 billion, and net income amounted to --¥690.0 billion. Basic earnings per share were calculated based on the parent company’s attributable net income of --¥172 million, resulting in ¥62 million per share. Compared to the previous forecast released on March 12, 2026, which ranged from 21,100 million yen to --¥270.0 billion for revenue, the actual figures showed an increase of 696,610 million yen, representing a growth rate of 3.3%.
Operating profit saw a significant boost due to higher sales volumes in automotive and motorcycle segments, despite EV-related losses. Pre-tax income and net income also improved, influenced by foreign exchange impacts on financial gains and expenses. In addition to the positive performance in key operations, the company noted that financial revenues and expenses contributed to the overall profitability.
The basic earnings per share calculation took into account the parent company’s attributable net income, reflecting the comprehensive impact of various factors affecting the company’s financial health during the fiscal year.
