Genda Forms Joint Venture with LDH JAPAN to Develop IPs
TOKYO, Aug 05 (Pulse News Wire) – Genda Inc. (9166.T) and LDH JAPAN announced the formation of a joint venture aimed at developing intellectual properties (IP).
The newly established entity, named Tokyo DD Co., Ltd., will focus on IP planning, development, sales, licensing, and production committee investments. Capitalized at ¥50 million, Tokyo DD will commence operations on August 14, 2026. Star Wilds, former CEO of Walt Disney Japan and Studio Ghibli, will serve as the representative director.
The joint venture leverages the strengths of both companies, combining their respective IP capabilities and networks to create new entertainment projects. Genda seeks to become the world's top entertainment firm by 2040 through continuous non-disruptive growth via mergers and acquisitions. LDH JAPAN, known for managing artists like EXILE and J Soul Brothers, brings extensive experience in talent management and content creation.
The collaboration aims to expand both entities' businesses globally by fostering innovative IP development.
