Fujitsu Reports Strong First Quarter Results Amid Revenue Growth and Cost Improvements
TOKYO, Jul 30 (Pulse News Wire) – Fujitsu Limited (6702.NG) reported robust first quarter results, highlighting revenue growth across key segments and significant improvements in operating margins. Service solutions saw a 6.7% increase in sales revenue to ¥1,922 billion, driven by strong performance in enterprise and public sectors.
Adjusted operating profit surged 31.3% to ¥628 billion, reflecting enhanced operational efficiency and cost savings. In hardware solutions, despite a 4.5% decline in sales revenue due to reduced domestic demand, adjusted operating profit dropped sharply to a loss of ¥37 billion. Ubiquitous solutions also faced challenges, with sales revenue falling 28.1% to ¥344 billion and adjusted operating profit declining 45.8% to ¥44 billion.
Overall, the company's consolidated revenue grew 3.9% to ¥7,793 billion, while adjusted operating profit increased 56.4% to ¥549 billion compared to the same period last year. Capital expenditures are forecast to rise to ¥750 billion for the fiscal year, supporting continued investment in technology infrastructure and innovation.
