Fujifilm Holdings Reports First Quarter Revenue Growth Despite Lower Operating Profit Decline

– Fujifilm Holdings Corporation (4901.T) reported a revenue increase of 10.3% to ¥8.265 billion for the first quarter ending June 30, 2026, compared to the same period last year. However, operating profit declined by 241 million yen due to increased fixed costs in healthcare and raw material price hikes.

The company's net income attributable to shareholders fell by 163 million yen to ¥374 million. Sales growth was driven by strong performances in medical systems, semiconductor materials, and imaging segments.

Notably, the Consumer Imaging division saw robust sales growth from the popular Instax instant photo system. Looking ahead, Fujifilm revised its annual forecast upward for revenue to ¥1 trillion ¥900 billion, reflecting improved electronics sales and anticipated benefits from non-core asset divestitures within the Business Innovation sector.

The outlook remains unchanged for operating profit at ¥3.65 billion amid ongoing challenges in biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing operations and volatile memory chip prices.
