Fuji Die Reports Higher-than-Expected Profits Despite Revenue Miss

– Fuji Die CO.,LTD. (6167.T) reported its fiscal year 2026 third quarter consolidated earnings results today, which showed higher-than-expected operating profit, ordinary profit, and net income compared to previous forecasts.

However, revenue fell short of expectations due to reduced demand for non-ultra-hard products. For the period ending March 31, 2026, the company's revenue was lower than previously forecasted at ¥1.02 billion against the earlier estimate of ¥1.05 billion. Operating profit came in at ¥250 million, exceeding the prior projection of ¥183 million.

Ordinary profit reached ¥200 million, surpassing the estimated ¥160 million. Net income attributable to parent shareholders stood at ¥120 million, up from the projected ¥96 million. The discrepancy in revenue was attributed to decreased demand for certain product lines outside ultra-hard materials.

Nevertheless, cost-cutting measures such as personnel expenses reduction and outsourcing fee savings contributed to improved profitability metrics.
