Eurasia Travel Lowers FY26 Forecast Due to Iran Conflict Uncertainty
TOKYO, Aug 04 (Pulse News Wire) – Eurasia Travel CO.,LTD. (9376.T) revised its fiscal year 2026 earnings forecast due to ongoing uncertainty stemming from recent attacks on Iran by the US and others.
Despite robust recovery in travel demand, particularly from special anniversary travel products, soaring fuel costs, rising airline charges, and sustained yen depreciation led to a projected operating profit decrease of ¥930,000. Net income is expected to decline by ¥75 million compared to previous estimates, though management anticipates mitigating effects through enhanced foreign exchange hedging and price adjustments within the current fiscal year.
In addition to operational challenges, extraordinary items such as reduced dividend income, foreign exchange losses, and higher interest expenses contributed to a net reduction in ordinary profit of ¥96 million compared to earlier projections. The company maintains its mid-term business plan and dividend outlook previously disclosed on July 31, 2025 and November 06, 2025, respectively, without changes.
The revisions reflect the evolving economic landscape influenced by geopolitical tensions while highlighting EURASIA TRAVEL's resilience amid volatile conditions.
