Cyberdyne to Amend SIP Contract Budget Amid Ongoing Research Program

– Cyberdyne,inc. (7779.T) announced changes to the budget for its ongoing research program under the Strategic Innovation Creation Program (SIP).

Initially selected for the project titled “Foundation Technologies and Rules for Expanding Human-Robot Collaboration” in December 2023, the company entered into a contract with the National Institute for Research Advancement (NEDO). Subsequent adjustments were made in February 2024, September 2025, and February and March 2026. The latest amendment involves altering the total contracted development fees from ¥1.348 billion to ¥1.891 billion for the fiscal years spanning 2023 through 2027.

The contract duration remains unchanged, extending from September 28, 2023, to March 31, 2028. Regarding future projections, CYBERDYNE anticipates revenues of ¥369 million in fiscal 2026 based on NEDO’s post-audit verification at the end of each fiscal year within the contract period. The project focuses on developing social implementation technologies for human-cyber-physical system integration aimed at addressing societal challenges across generations in an aging society.
