CUC Reports Revenue Increase Despite Missed Sales Targets

– CUC Inc. (9158.T) reported a revenue increase of 16.6% to ¥54.40 billion for the fiscal year ending March 2026, falling short of its sales target but exceeding operating profit expectations.

Operating profit rose 30.7% to ¥5.5 billion compared to the previous year, driven by higher-than-expected M&A support fees and asset monetization gains. The medical institution segment saw stable performance domestically despite reduced monthly compensation rates, while robust roll-up acquisitions in the U.S. foot disease sector bolstered overseas operations.

The hospice segment experienced delays in facility conversions but maintained occupancy rates through strategic adjustments. Home visit nursing services expanded steadily, achieving profitability through improved staffing efficiency despite initial station losses. Looking ahead, CUC forecasts a revenue growth of 18.8% to ¥64.60 billion for the next fiscal year, fueled by increased service offerings and enhanced operational efficiencies across segments.

The company remains committed to sustainable practices, having welcomed international skilled workers and received recognition as a child-friendly workplace.
