CUC Reports Lower Revenue and Profits for FY2026 Compared to Prior Year
TOKYO, Apr 30 (Pulse News Wire) – CUC Inc. (9158.T) reported lower revenue and profits for its fiscal year ended March 2026 compared to the previous fiscal year.
For the fiscal year ending March 2026, the company's revenue was ¥7.390 billion, down from ¥7.945 billion in the prior fiscal year, representing a decrease of 7.0%. Operating profit was ¥1.325 billion from ¥1.426 billion previously, marking a decline of 27.8%. Similarly, ordinary profit rose to ¥949 million from ¥48.6 million last year, reflecting a reduction of 33.8%. Net profit also declined to ¥32.4 million per share from ¥1.553 billion per share in the prior year.
The company attributed the declines primarily to reduced monthly compensation rates due to decreased profitability at some healthcare institutions during the first half of the fiscal year. Additionally, there was a significant drop-off in earnings from large-scale M&A advisory fees concentrated in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year. Despite gradually adjusting discount levels for monthly compensation rates in the third quarter based on improved performance at support facilities, the overall impact did not offset the earlier reductions. ---.
