Canon Marketing Japan Completes Share Repurchase Program
TOKYO, May 22 (Pulse News Wire) – Canon Marketing Japan Inc. (8060.T) completed its share repurchase program based on a resolution made at the board meeting held on January 28, 2026.
During the period from May 1 to May 21, 2026, the company purchased a total of 1,741,600 shares through open-market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The total cost of the repurchased shares was ¥6.524 billion. The initial resolution approved on January 28 allowed for the purchase of up to 5,000,000 shares, representing 4.66% of the outstanding shares excluding treasury stock.
However, due to a subsequent stock split effective April 1, 2026, the upper limit was adjusted to 10,000,000 shares. As of May 21, 2026, the company had cumulatively acquired 8,437,000 shares at a total cost of ¥30.00 billion since the commencement of the repurchase program.
