– Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund, inc. (9284.T) reported lower-than-expected power generation for June 2026 across its solar facilities.

Total electricity production was 135,619,177 kWh, falling short of forecasts by 11,016,771 kWh. The shortfall was attributed to low sunlight levels nationwide and operational issues affecting several plants, including CS Kamamachi City Power Plant and CS Miyakotown Shikawa River Power Plant. In addition, four sites experienced significant impacts from grid operators' curtailment measures: CS Kamamachi City Power Plant, CS Miyakotown Shikawa River Power Plant, parts of PCS in CS Kasama City Power Plant, and CS Hamanandai Town Power Plant, which suffered cable theft on May 25. The curtailments led to a loss of variable revenue for the fund.

In June alone, the impact amounted to ¥35.7 million in lost income, bringing the cumulative loss since the beginning of the fiscal year to ¥814.5 million. This represents a reduction of 17.85% compared to anticipated revenues. Detailed figures showed that while some facilities performed well—such as CS Izu City Power Plant, which exceeded expectations by 119.15%—others fell significantly short, notably CS Hamanandai Town Power Plant, which generated just 33.74% of forecasted power. Overall, the curtailment affected operations across multiple regions, with total curtailed hours reaching 959 days in June.
