Abeja Joins NEDO Project to Develop VTLA Model Dataset
TOKYO, Jul 02 (Pulse News Wire) – Abeja, inc. (5574.T) announced its participation in a project led by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) aimed at constructing a dataset for a Vision-Tactile-Language-Action (VTLA) model.
The initiative involves collaboration with major players such as Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Fanuc, FingerVision, and Yaskawa Electric. The project, which runs from August 2026 to July 2027, seeks to integrate visual, tactile, linguistic, and action data to automate complex manufacturing tasks. ABEJA will work closely with Osaka University and other partners to enhance foundational technologies.
While the immediate impact on the company's performance is expected to be minor, ABEJA believes this effort could contribute positively to long-term growth. In addition to developing the VTLA model, the project aims to create datasets suitable for various robots and devices, accelerating the adoption of robotics across industries. ABEJA’s involvement includes designing data ecosystems and collaborating with startups and universities to validate the VTLA model.
