Yokorei to Sell Assets for Strategic Partnership

TOKYO, Jul 23 (Pulse News Wire) – Yokorei CO.,LTD. (2874.T) announced plans to sell four assets through a sale-and-leaseback transaction to a special purpose vehicle set up by Bentool Green Oak KK (BGO K.K.).

The move is part of a strategic partnership agreement with BeNtooru/Guriin'Ooku Kabushiki Kaisha signed on November 28, 2025. Expected proceeds from the asset sales could reach approximately ¥5.900 billion. The company intends to reinvest the funds into expanding cold storage facilities to meet growing demand. The assets being sold include the Tokyo Haneda Logistics Center, Kasu Logistics Center, Tsukuba Logistics Center, and the Nagaoka Connect Logistics Center, which is currently under construction.

After the sale, Yokorei will continue leasing back and operating these facilities. The transaction is expected to enhance the company's operational efficiency and financial flexibility while supporting future growth investments. In addition, Yokorei expects to record a special gain from the asset sales in its fiscal year ending September 2026. The company will finalize the lease agreements and complete the transactions by July 31, 2026, with subsequent steps planned for October 1, 2026.
