TOKYO, Jul 03 (Pulse News Wire) – World CO.,LTD. (3612.T) reported domestic retail sales growth of 107.8% for June compared to the same month last year, marking a slight slowdown from previous months.
Domestic store sales increased by 110.9%, while existing stores saw a more modest rise of 96.7%. However, e-commerce sales showed weaker performance, growing by just 96.7%. In detail, the company noted that lower temperatures and poor weather conditions impacted consumer demand for summer items. Despite efforts to reform merchandise displays, key topwear categories such as pullover jerseys and blouses failed to meet expectations.
Additionally, system issues continued to affect online sales performance. Looking ahead, the company highlighted strong performances in select lifestyle brands like "212 Kitchen" and leather goods brand "Hirofu," which contrasted with slower growth in apparel lines. The firm also indicated plans to address ongoing challenges in inventory quality and quantity across both physical and digital channels. Separately, the company's store count stood at 2,491 at the end of June, reflecting net additions through mergers and acquisitions totaling 49 units since March 2026.
