Will Smart Invests in System Development for Will-Fleet OBD II Device

TOKYO, Jul 24 (Pulse News Wire) – Will Smart Co.,LTD. (175A.T) announced that it has decided to invest approximately ¥16 million in system development related to its OBD II digital driving recorder, "Will-Fleet," during the fiscal year ending December 2026.

The investment was approved at a board meeting held. This strategic move aligns with the company's mid-term business plan, "Beyond 100," which identifies logistics digitization as a key growth driver. The aim is to enhance the functionality and expand the range of applications for the Will-Fleet device, making it more accessible and affordable for small and medium-sized trucking companies. By integrating vehicle data collection and management systems, the company seeks to create additional revenue streams through data utilization and improve operational efficiency.

The funds for this investment come from a capital increase completed on June 1, 2026, via a private placement of new shares. Out of the total proceeds of ¥444 million raised, ¥200 million designated for internal platform system development will be allocated towards this project. Development phases will commence immediately following approval, with planned completion stages throughout the fiscal year. The company expects the impact on its financial performance for the fiscal year ending December 2026 to be minor but will promptly disclose any necessary adjustments to forecasts.
