TV Tokyo Holdings Posts Lower First Quarter Profits Amid Revenue Decline

– TV Tokyo Holdings Corporation (9413.T) reported lower profits for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, compared to the same period last year. Operating profit was ¥1.535 billion from ¥3.271 billion, while revenue dropped to ¥17.939 billion from ¥20.144 billion.

The decline was primarily driven by reduced sales in broadcasting activities, which saw a decrease of ¥3.76 billion in time slot revenues and a drop of ¥320 million in program sales. Despite efforts to boost performance through e-commerce and television shopping segments, overall results remained subdued.

For the fiscal year ending March 2027, TV Tokyo Holdings maintains its previous forecast, expecting total revenue of ¥100.32 billion with a net profit per share of ¥0.90. The company anticipates continued challenges but remains committed to strategic initiatives aimed at improving future performance.
