Toshiba TEC Posts Additional Special Loss

TOKYO, May 11 (Pulse News Wire) – Toshiba Tec Corporation (6588.T) reported an additional special loss of ¥28 billion related to bad debt provisions for overseas retail subsidiaries during its fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. The company had previously recorded ¥12.1 billion in bad debt provisions for the nine months ended December 31, 2025.

However, due to recent developments, an additional provision of ¥28 billion was made, bringing the total special loss for the fiscal year to ¥14.9 billion. Notably, this adjustment does not impact the consolidated profit figures as such provisions are eliminated in the consolidation process.
