Tokyu REIT Extends Compliance Deadline for Sukiyoshidai Building Fire Safety Issues
TOKYO, Jul 27 (Pulse News Wire) – Tokyu REIT, Inc. (8957.T) announced changes to the deadline for addressing fire safety issues identified during regular inspections of the Sukiyoshidai Building.
Initially scheduled to be resolved by April 14, 2026, the completion date was extended due to unforeseen construction challenges discovered during ongoing work. On July 27, the company received confirmation from seller Tokyu Corporation agreeing to further extend the deadline until September 30, 2026. The initial notice dated March 16, 2026, disclosed the acquisition of the Sukiyoshidai Building along with the Higashikoen Gakuen Round Building.
A subsequent update on April 14, 2026, indicated a previous extension to the resolution timeline. However, additional site-specific complications necessitated another adjustment, ensuring the necessary corrections would now be completed by September 30, 2026. This latest extension does not impact the operational outlook or anticipated distributions for Tokyu REIT.
The company remains committed to resolving the issue within the revised timeframe without incurring additional costs.
