The Kita-Nippon Bank Kita-Nippon Bank Announces Share Buyback, Cancellation, and Split
TOKYO, Jul 31 (Pulse News Wire) – The Kita-nippon Bank,ltd. (8551.T) decided to repurchase up to 190,000 shares (representing 2.31% of outstanding shares excluding treasury stock) during the period from August 03, 2026 to August 31, 2026 through open market purchases, including ToSTNeT-3 transactions.
Additionally, the bank plans to cancel 100,000 shares, which constitute 1.18% of total outstanding shares prior to cancellation, scheduled for September 25, 2026. In conjunction with these actions, the bank also approved a share split ratio of 1-to-3, effective from July 31, 2026 to September 30, 2026, increasing the number of issued shares from 8,343,776 to 25,031,328. The revised capital structure will allow for a total of 36,000,000 shares to be issued post-split.
Furthermore, the bank adjusted its dividend forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to reflect the split, maintaining the overall payout amount but changing the per-share distribution rate accordingly. Lastly, the bank updated its shareholder benefits program, modifying the conditions for receiving perks such as preferred deposit rates and local products based on the new share count ratios. Changes will take effect for shareholders recorded in the registry as of March 31, 2027.
