– THE Fukushima Bank, ltd. (8562.T), announced changes in its major shareholder structure effective June 30, 2026.

As of March 31, 2026, SBI Regional Banks transferred its shares to SBINewBank, resulting in SBINewBank becoming the primary controlling shareholder with a voting rights stake of 34.19%. SBINewBank's parent company, SBI Holdings Co., Ltd., continues to exert significant influence due to its capital business alliance with Fukushima Bank.

Despite this affiliation, the bank maintains operational independence through adherence to legal and internal regulations while leveraging SBI Group resources for strategic initiatives. In addition, former executive director and vice president Shinpei Morita resigned from all positions within the SBI Group upon his appointment as deputy president of Fukushima Bank on June 23, 2026.

There were no reportable transactions with SBI Regional Banks or SBINewBank during the fiscal year ending March 2026.
